In describing her voice, the words that come spontaneously to me are qualities like grace, sweetness and mellowness, and when it comes to her personality, I think of authenticity, charisma and above all elegance.
All of those qualities amount to something special, something which anyone who loves music and the vocal art is always looking for but seldom finds: magic. I have often been witness to the spell she casts on her audience when performing.

Soprano Marija Vidović commenced her music education in Varaždin, studied and obtained her master’s degree in Vienna and Stuttgart at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts. Another passion of hers is for about foreign languages: she speaks German, Spanish, English and Italian, and can communicate in French and Russian.
So far, she has performed in some of the most renowned concert halls worldwide, such as the Musikverein in Vienna, Gasteig in Munich, the Opere Bellas Artes in Mexico City, as well as at the largest international festivals of classical music in North and South America. Her unique and wonderful vocal timbre combined with her personality and elegance, ideal for singing and interpreting the audience’s favorite operatic roles such as that of Constance in Mozart’s The Abduction from the Seraglio, Marguerite in Gounod’s Faust, Violetta in Verdi’s La Traviata or Mimi in Puccini’s La Boheme, never escapes notice. She is a great devotee and masterly performer of the classic Lied.
One of the world’s most famous and renowned tenors and educators, Francisco Araiza, is her professor and mentor.

Maestralna Marija Vidović u Lisinskom – impresivna izvedba pjesama Richarda Straussa
Međimurska sopranistica svjetskog glasa, Marija Vidović, oduševila je publiku impresivnom izvedbom pjesama Richarda Straussa u koncertnoj dvorani Vatroslava Lisinskog.
Povodom 160. godišnjice Straussova rođenja i 75 godina od njegove smrti, održan je koncert u prepunoj maloj dvorani Lisinskog, gdje je uz klavirsku pratnju Bože Letunića, Marija Vidović maestralno interpretirala Straussove solo pjesme. Straussove skladbe, iako malobrojnije od onih Schubertovih ili Brahmsovih, ostale su upamćene kao pravi dragulji koji sažimaju čitav spektar emocija, a koji su i tematski izrazito zanimljivi i raznorodni.

In honor of the 160th anniversary of Strauss’s birth and the 75th anniversary of his death, soprano Marija Vidović will perform selections from several of Strauss’s song cycles, accompanied by Božo Letunić on the piano. Having studied in Stuttgart, where she learned from renowned teachers, Marija now brings the beauty of the German Lied to Zagreb audience.

Božićni klasici oduševili publiku u Lisinskom
Blagdanska čarolija ispunila je koncertnu dvoranu Vatroslava Lisinskog, 5. prosinca 2024., kada je koncert “Christmas Classics” donio publici nezaboravnu večer ispunjenu emocijama, glazbom i toplinom Božića.
Sopranistica Marija Vidović, uz pratnju Zagrebačkog komornog orkestra, izvela je neke od najljepših božićnih klasika, svjetskih i domaćih, stvarajući atmosferu ispunjenu radošću i zajedništvom. Publika je s oduševljenjem pratila svaki ton, uživajući u blagdanskom duhu koji je ispunio dvoranu.
Večer su dodatno obogatili posebni gosti – Davor Štern, koji je na klaviru pratio izvedbu Cohenove “Aleluje”, mladi talent Nino Mrčela, koji je razveselio publiku izvedbom “Sretan Božić svakome”, te Miroslav Škoro, koji je s Marijom izveo emotivnu pjesmu “Tajna najveća”.
